digging deep into the nido

Mildly amused by the banter on nido in the last few days...been meaning to impart some words for a day or two but been caught up with other things.
observations:
1. the market is saying that news for ndo is drying up. In actual fact its just starting to warm up. keep an eye on North Sea announcements...new promote blocks are up for grabs at the moment and winners will be told within the next 2 weeks. Keep an eye on Cool Energy...some sort of value realisation may come to pass before too long. Keep an eye on West Linapacin. Keep an eye on Galoc. Keep an eye out for an deal on stuff that has only been touched on by the company.
2. with current selling around, news flow is likely to dry up. Its funny how the nervous nellies always sell in times of little news...coincidence?
3. recent research reports suggest a value of 20c per share or thereabouts so I hear. You dont just put out a research report and pick a price. Loss of credibility, money, clients and big compliance issues all provide good incentives for getting your facts right before put pen to paper and recommend a stock.
4. oil is at $70 for pete's sake not $12. Blind freddy is going to make money in the oil game at the moment.
5. Nido are not explorers. They identify known reserves, farm out to majors and develop quickly with the single intention of generating cashflow as early as possible. It seems to me that a company with that in mind is not going to be sitting on its thumbs while the price of oil is where it is.
