There was a fair bit in the meeting, however something that really stuck out, I believe it was when Gordon was speaking, that one of the key areas as to why Morila failed was due to ECOWAS sanctions…

Its amazing there is still confusion by all as to what actually happened with this company.

It is interesting that on 12th Jan 2022, they state the sanctions had no “immediate impact on production, supply or the safety and security of employees and contractors.

Additionally they state “Firefinch will continue to monitor and provide updates as and when appropriate”…. Shareholders were never updated prior to a trading halt that made updates fairly redundant.

The first we hear ECOWAS sanctions had any impact at all in the company was the 4th of July 2022 AFTER the never ending trading halt.

Later in the letter to the ASX, FfX did not believe the sanctions had any material impact on sanctions… sanctions that ended 4th of July 2022.

it is simply incredible that the board would highly the sanctions as a massive reason to the failure of Morila, sanctions that as of 2nd May 2022 they wouldn’t not even acknowledge as having an impact, would cause the doors to slam shut on the asset in just 2 months after.

As this continues to play out, the drip feed information shareholders are given seem to create more and more confusing…
