There was always two bidders (opinion), this was asked at the AGM and in typical director speak wasn't answered. Also asked, were the Company waiting on a non objection from the Government for the contractor chosen? - this also wasn't directly answered, but was buried in more director speak of "we are in talks with the Government,"
Maybe speculation, maybe it was "the walls have ears" or "loose lips", but from a previous post prior to the AGM! (7) a deal for Morila was between two bidding parties, one was government preferred but involved Firefinch Limited assisting with $M's, the Company went with the 2nd bidder. Low and behold, we have been informed that there is another bidder, "shakes my head" Don't need to be a rocket scientist to work out why the Government prefer SOREM SA, fully owned the Government will increase revenue from mining activities. Morila needs a mining contractor, the government has one but it will be at a cost (tbd) versus FFX's preferred bidder. As @koparoma previously also posted .. .. .. .. As for "probably Massigui" -- it is in announcements that all the tenements owned by Firefinch subsidiaries are part of the sale.
The selected Contractor as per the "I have heard grapevine", social media, etc is Corica Mali. ~ considering the Company's recent announcement debunking social media narratives, this has not been addressed nor debunked.
