Probably (partly) yes, Zip. Best case is if shorts were restricted to all but the top 100 stocks in all world markets. Plenty of room for the hedge funds to play without screwing with the little guys. As much as I like the idea of the shorters experiencing some overdue pain it has the potential to spread with both ends of the spectrum getting screwed in the end - literally. Even so, I can't see how they can stop these tech savvy kids bucking the status quo, and have some mild concerns that this phenomenon will herald/cause a Black Swan event.
