First time in years but i bought a desktop not so long ago, my old laptops couldn't handle 4k video or even much above 720 as i have a gopro for dashcam and personal photos and videos.

I already knew alot about computers (building them) etc, not hard really, just like lego in a lot of ways however i ended up buying a prebuilt one because it was competitive price.

I find Toms Hardware is a good site that helps with working out what mother boards are good and why and in what situation along with everythingelse.

I ended up buyiing from Scorptec and had it shipped as they had a run out special on a model. They have specials now and then but its always worth checking out who else offers good value.

I paid about $1500 delivered/Insured for, Ryzen 5 1600, 6 core, 1060i 6GB Nvidia, 250 gb SSD Hard, plus a 1tb Hard, hypermax memory on Asus board and very happy with it, it will do anything and much faster and responisve than any laptop ive had even when paying the big bucks.
