The penalty for crimes such as those committed by the Bernie's or the guys who killed nurse Anita Colby " because they wanted to see a chick die" should be DEATH.
Why keep these people in the system at $60,000 a year for long periods when there will ALWAYS be doubt as to any rehabillitation?
It is fact that most brutal rapists, murderers, child abusers re-offend when released. Top them to protect the community.
HOWEVER, unpremeditated death in instances such as hubby catching wife with milkman, father catching "Uncle Fred" with 10 y/o daughter should be regarded differently.
