There are many stock market trading and/or investing theories around, such as Dow Theory, Elliott Wave Theory, Gann Theory and several others. Most are complex to digest and with the benefit of hindsight, they are always correct. If you are able to perform an accurate retrospective detailed analysis of each theory, I am sure that you will find that most, if not all, are just a waste of time. But, just like religion, you will never convince the “hard believers” and followers of their beloved theories, that they don’t work.
As far as trading on the stock market goes, the best and easiest way to be successful is, keep it simple. Having a high IQ is probably restrictive in this regard.
