Saw "The Hours" myself on Thursday night. Interestingly, although it has been touted as a "chick flick", I thought it was terrific whilst Mrs G thought it was "alright but a bit tedious". Maybe I was just in the right frame of mind to contemplate the issues raised.
Regardless of anything else it was great to see Ms Kidman have the opportunity to prove that she really is one of our great actors. Amazing what a difference the nose made - unless you knew you really would not have known who it was. Agreat opportunity to see the acting, unclouded by her looks.
Of course I don't want to take anything away from Meryl. She has long been one of my favorites and continues her illustrious career in this film.
