    Riversheep, I could cover the surplus by removing a few ALP implementations and actually reduce taxes. Those to go:

    1. NBN
    2. Disability thingy
    3. ABC budget cut back to pre-2007 level
    4. Department of Climate Unchange
    5. Donations to ALP affiliates in the form of grants (billions to be saved here).
    etc

    You think Tony would keep a change in the diesel rebate? I think not.
