Not sure about SA law but the system in place where I am in Europe would say that the ownership stays with the party that has incurred the most cost on the asset while the other party is entitled to compensation. That would be the equitable solution if this principle is followed in SA Law which possible has its roots on the UK system.

Something is telling me Royalty for Anglo if they do not wish to do JV?
