Compare LNC & SPX Chart history, say 12 mths, up until mid April they traded at approx (LNC 3.6) : (SXP 1)
Very roughly $0.90 to $0.25.
Since then "Both" have had impressive rises, typically, so have most others in the same Oil & Gas sector, for obvious reasons, Shell, British Gas, etc, etc.

SXP at $0.72 would value LNC at $2.592.
Currently LNC at $4.16 (Down 10.54%) would value SXP at $1.155.

Plenty of Upside for a Serious Offer, IMHO.......
