binone - I can relate to your tales with EPG we have all had these types of trades. I'm feeling some emotion from the EPG posters on HC but I suppose it's the classic Kenny Rogers "hold em fold em" etc etc
I have a holding in FUT which just signed an HoA with EPG -whilst the capital involved is not large it is a positve for EPG that a JV was found and perhaps more will follow. FUT will be investing more if initial tests/drills prove positve but all this isn't hapenning until 2010.
A board member of FUT Barnaby Egerton-Warburton used to be with JP Morgan has extensive experience in oils/gas and FUT certainly are picthing this JV very positively - so much in fact they are embarking on a Road-show soon to promote the deal.
IMO I don't expect much to happen until 2010 and beyond but with gas spot prices where they are and a predicted very cold Europe winter on it's way some up-side may be seen from this in the SP.
