Gardasil is also distributed via Sanofi Pasteur, the vaccines division of Sanofi-Aventis, with whom Merck has formed a joint venture. GlaxoSmithKline's (GSK) have a cervical cancer vaccine called Cervarix. Poke about the Internet using keywords like Merk, Sanofi, Gardasil and Cervarrix, and you will find a plethora of information.
I read somehere today that the Gardasil sales downgrade by Merk should only have a .9 of 1% affect on CSL's profit in the current year, not the 4% that I mooted earlier as a rough guesstimate. Whatever the % is, it is small - not a train smash for CSL.
