I managed to get quite a few varietie's of Heirloom tomato seeds, which by definition have to have been grown by many generations (often in the backwoods of nowhere) for over 100 years by the same family group, a lot of German immigrant's to the US in the 19th century or before, brought their seeds with them, long before Monsanto was ever heard of and took control over most veggie's you now see, they control the seeds now available nearly worldwide, mostly all are now hybrids which won't grow true to type if you plant a seed of something you bought from the supermarket.
Nearly all of these heirloom seeds are banned from importation into Australia now.
