Agree dex, the majority of what we eat has been introduced hence why we don't see them growing in the wild. If you know what to look for there are hundreds if not thousands of edible plants growing wild. Things such as Warrigal greens, lilli pilli, native cherries, bush apples, candle nut, bunya nut, wattle seeds, Davidson plum, native ginger, lemon myrtle, native lime, Dorrigo pepper etc. etc i could go on and these are just things that i know of. We are trying to intergate some of these "bush foods" into our garden over time. So far we have native limes, lilli pilli, native ginger, lemon myrtle, dorrigo peppers. we will continue to explore and add to this, great thing is they are hardy, pest free and dont require as much water etc. they have been around this climate for a little while afterall :)
