From what I can gather you mean when they sold these to the tennants that were in them, if they wanted them, they were sold for much less than market value because it would have cost even more to fix them up to standard. Anyones I know of are in NSW but they were all rehoused in modern places.
As a Lib I shouldn't have to tell you of a question of what's economical & what's not.
Have you ever renovated, if so you know the cost, what happened else where I'm not sure but I believe it was virtually the same thing. Believe me, I have no reason to make the NSW gov look good, as I've mentioned a few times, my opinion for Iemma is the same as I have for Howard, not much.
