Bomber, the image was just taken out of an online Geology information course and is merely ment to be a schematic mock up of how these things might look.
General concept that I was getting across is that it often depends where you drill the hole in the oil/gas trap as to what you can expect to intersect.
I doubt anything in Mauritania is as simple and straight forward as the image, and after having a look at the FOG website, I tend to agree with Oli that Banda will probably have more of a stratigraphic trap.
