As with anything do with infrastructure, wind turbines are made of steel and all sorts of minerals are needed to construct them, which came out the ground of which greenies are opposed to anything mining.

Wind turbine Electricity generators are extremely noisy when operating, just ask the people whom were foisted with them and driving them nuts with the dron sound it emits. Of course you need wind for them to operate, so when there is no wind they will do er um not much producing of Electricity.

Solar is inefficient, and was a passing FAD, most Governments are not supporting solar rebates any more. Germany is now promoting fuel cell technology that uses gas.
