MEO Australia says Heron-2 drilling encounters good quality Plover sand LONDON (Thomson Financial) - Xtract Energy PLC said MEO Australia Ltd, in which it holds a 21.3 pct stake, encountered good quality medium grained Plover sand from 3973 to 3983 metres with mud losses of up to 60 bbls/hour -- considered indicative of good reservoir permeability -- at its Heron-2 well in the Timor Sea.
MEO said it expects to commence drilling a 6 inch hole in the week commencing Dec 17.
Heron-2 is being drilled by the subsidiaries of MEO Australia Ltd (MEO) and Petrofac Ltd.
