I just read a (pay walled) article in the UK Telegraph that describes the situation in the gas market as “Dire” and the treatment of Cuadrilla as “Shoddy”. It is common knowledge that Boris Johnson’s partner is an avid anti fracker. I know that it is a long shot, but there will be pressure on BJ’s successor to find a solution to Russian aggression, diminishing North Sea yields and transition fuel demand. The most obvious route is through domestic supply. Bol and shale might not be viable, but I don’t think we will die not knowing the answer to that question.
