The gas price chart you posted is for prices in the USA which are low . It does not have much direct relevance to International prices or Australian East coast prices .
The recent cap on East Coast prices put on by the New Labor Government and their Green Comrades has dropped the share prices of all the East coast gas suppliers COE STO BPT ect and potential producers VEN MEL etc and Explorers TDO ect . Short term populous band aid solution to a longer term fundamental looming supply / demand problem .
In the short term it will have little financial impact on VEN or MEL as all the gas from Vali is contracted for the next four years at prices less than $12 . Odin gas has not yet been put on contract so maybe they will keep some of the production back to sell on the spot market .
Although financially we will not be affected our share price has dropped because of the poor sentiment these anti market regulations bring to the Market .
Our share price will respond one way or the other once there is some clarity after production starts and we see how much free cash flow the business has .
Who knows what these Neo Socialist Clowns will think up next ! Imo Climate change is real but there is a Cult of Climate Change that is doing crazy things. They only need to look at the mess the Europeans are in to realise that they transition needs to be done in a rational way not in a Chicken Little panic .
