The South Sulawesi Perseroda Special Committee Conducts Consultations with Energy Equality Epic Sengkang in Jakarta

Terkini.id – The Special Committee for Discussion on Regional Regulations on the Establishment of a Limited Liability Company Sulsel Andalan Energi (Perseroda) conducted consultations with the Head Office of Energy Equality Epic Sengkang (EEES) Pty Ltd, in Jakarta, Monday 16 January 2023.

This consultation was chaired directly by the Chairperson of the Special Committee, namely Andi Irwandi Natsir as Chair of the Special Committee and accompanied by members of the Special Committee including Arfandy Idris, Muhammad Sarif, Vonny Ameliani Suardi, Muhammad Irfan AB, and Jabbar Idris.

The consultation, which was held at the EEES Head Office located on the 20th floor of Tower 165, was received directly by Farid Gaffar as Deputy President and Ridwan Jalal as EEES Facilities and Engineering Manager.

Andi Irwandi said that the Perseroda Sulsel Special Committee was divided into 2 teams in Jakarta, namely to the Sengkang Energy Equality Epic Headquarters and to the SKK Migas Office, the aim was to get advice and input and wanted to dig up more in-depth information related to the 10% Participating Interest from EEES on Natural Gas Management in Sengkang.

Farid said, Energy Equality Epic Sengkang appreciated the visit of the Special Committee for the South Sulawesi DPRD and really hoped that through this Special Committee it could become a bridge for all parties to collaborate in managing natural gas carried out by Energy Equality Epic Sengkang so that later it could contribute to the regional development of the province of South Sulawesi. .

It is well known that South Sulawesi Province has the potential for oil and gas natural resources which can be utilized as a resource to meet the needs of people's lives and to encourage improvement in people's welfare.Farid Gaffar as Deputy President of EEES said that parties from EEES could not do much without the support of the South Sulawesi Provincial Government and DPRD.

"Of course, with a common goal, we can increase PAD and have a positive impact on the people of South Sulawesi. However, this company posted revenue at the end of December only in the range of 600 million. This achievement was beyond expectations because it was only 0.5 percent to 0.6 percent from the previous achievement in the range of USD 3 million. This condition is due to the end of the contract with PT PLN," he said.

Andi Muhammad Irfan AB explained that this Special Committee was formed to determine policies that needed to be regulated in the activities of the EEES.

"As for the draft regional regulations, there are technical matters that cannot be separated from the establishment of a BUMD to the preparation of the deed of establishment. And it is also hoped that the GMS, Directors and Commissioners are people who are competent in their respective fields," said Irfan.

Arfandy Idris as a member of the Special Committee said that this special committee should be further accelerated in the future, because it will provide additional revenue for the Provincial Government.

But of course we at the Special Committee are also very careful because after this was formed, the Pemprov. South Sulawesi will budget in the APBD to invest in the BUMDs that will be formed later. Therefore there must be a mature and comprehensive analysis regarding this matter so as to create a good balance between the contractor, the local government and the community.

At the end of this consultation, Andi Irwandi Natsir said that the purpose of this consultation was none other than for the benefit of the people of South Sulawesi.

"Besides we want to get suggestions and input and add to the treasures of the draft regional regulations discussion, we want to dig up information on what the achievements of Epic Sengkang's Energy Equality are in running its business. We really support the progress going forward because this is not just establishing a BUMD, but this Special Committee is here to have a positive impact on revenue. We want everyone to be able to feel the impact in the coming years,” he concluded.
