gas fired power stations

i live in this area and hold cxy and cnx, i read this in todays local paper and think, "why cant the the powers to be absorb this", we have an abundance of coal, AND could place a power station on site, tis a shame that we are not recognised, due to maybe being a tad early for renewables,
