SS, you have some good technical knowledge. Today ann says clearly that they will drill to the core point and cut core in the Elang-Plover formation. So yes the outlook is to drill core of the target reservoir. This is the second well drilled into this area and the formation depth is prognosis depth from previous wells, seismic time-depth conversion.. They can't just drill to certain depth and start drilling core. They need to drill, examine cuttings, gas show, LWD log to understand where they are before making decision to drill core. There is advantage to drill core over wireline core plug for the long interval, core preservation (uncontaminated) and larger core possible for lab experiment. So I don't see any disappointment in here. The first core resulted from the observations I mentioned above and I believe they made the correct decision.
