Perhaps China's 1,118 coal fired power plants have slightly more impact on the climate than the 19 in Australia...
We have less than 25GW coal fired capacity in total - China has approved 106GW of NEW coal fired capacity in 2022 alone.
Perhaps offshoring industry, manufacturing, and employment to China, and other countries with cheap power, makes the CO2 spreadsheet for this country slightly different, but if anything is actually making the global emissions problem slightly worse, while materially damaging our economy.
