Minister to make pipeline decision Posted Tue Mar 1, 2011 9:00am AEDT
The New South Wales Planning Minister, Tony Kelly, is expected to announce the preferred route for a major gas pipeline project through the central and north west.
Eastern Star Gas is planning to build the pipeline from Narrabri to Wellington.
The Mullaley Gas and Pipeline Accord says the project could damage sensitive farming land.
The New South Wales Farmers' Association has suggested the pipeline follow major roads and utilise travelling stock reserves.
The Minister is travelling both suggested routes, and will make an announcement in Dubbo this afternoon.
Just researching Tony Kelly, it seems like he is very pro Coal Seam Gas and against fracturing. Either this article is off, or announcement due tommorow
