The USA as a matter of policy has disallowed the export of gas from US fields . Energy is a very serious matter for long term viability of any country's economy . We in Australia should have followed the lead of USA in terms of our long term need for energy security. It is good that we are now having this debate about Australian resources for future generations of Australians as well as ensuring our competitiveness of all our industries relying on reasonable cost of power.
