Well a small company on the ASX Called Hazer Group LTD : HZR has created a catalyst process where you input Natural gas and iron ore, and get out the other end hydrogen and synthetic graphite.
Graphite is sold to create batteries for EV's and the hydrogen is used in various industries as a zero emission fuel.
More so it turns low value commodities into high values ones.
A large mining company (MIN) is working with HZR and is looking to acquire a gas resources AWE to use the HZR process.
This tech is disruptive and will foresee a new green use for Natural Gas.
