Sunshine boosts Lacerta gas reserves

Sydney - Monday - October 22: (RWE Australian Business News) -
Sunshine Gas Ltd (ASX:SHG) has received an updated reserve statement
from MHA Petroleum Consultants Inc (Malcewicz, Heuni and Associates) of
Denver for the Lacerta Coal Seam Gas field.
In accordance with Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE)
guidelines, the following upgraded reserves have now been attributed to
the Lacerta field by MHA:
* 1P Reserve (Proven) - 44PJ (up from 1.7PJ);
* 2P Reserve (Proven + Probable) - 469PJ (up from 224PJ); and
* 3P Reserve (Proven + Probable + Possible) - 1097PJ (895PJ).
This represents a 109pc increase in 2P reserves and 23pc
increase in 3P reserves.
Directors note the rapid increase in 1P reserves was made
possible due to the inclusion of additional pilot well data that was not
part of the initial reserve assessment.
They say strong pressure communication seen between these pilots
and surrounding monitoring wells provides confidence in coal continuity
and ultimate well drainage.
