I worked on that Gas plant at Wadeye, in 2009 doing NDT on the pipe welds, there was talk back then that the unmanned rig 80 Ks offshore was to be the first of many. And also on the Gove expansion project 2005-09 .
G3 as it was known, Rio Tinto took over from Alcan about 2008, I guess it has been offloaded by Rio since, the new Boilers and Generators were all installed to be converted to Gas at a later stage, so this all makes sense to run the pipeline from Darwin as there is already a pipeline from Wadeye to Darwin,
The ground work has also commenced at Inpex , the $40 Billion Project LNG Plant in Darwin .
So there got to get the Gas from Somewhere?
