""(Mr Cottee said the present system allows those companies that have acquired gas pipelines from their original developers "to charge as if they were greenfield investments well past the time the capital has been repaid".)""

If you buy an investment property (I.e. a house or a block of flats, or a shopping centre), would you reduce the tenant's rent as soon as you've recovered your initial capital outlay, or would you keep it at the same levels if not increasing it with the ongoing yearly inflation rates.??

Or better still, if and when we (CTP or RC), will recover all of our capital outlays and costs in developing these oil and gas fields, will we then sell the gas at a discount and at a cheaper rates than what we started selling it off for, or trying to get as much as possible for it at all times.??

I have never seen any company, "energy companies in particular", selling their product/produce at cheaper rates than what they used to sell them at. As a matter of facts they are increasing their prices at a lot higher rates than the inflation rates themselves.

It plays both ways my friends....What's good for the Goose is good for the Gander. Period!!!!

IMHO, that is a very poor excuse to come up and to be able to argue with.
