With gas now at over $4.27 MMbtu for some time coal has to make a comeback - at least for the next year or so until the massive LNG plants come on line..

Switching coal to gas , gas/coal i believe is a big cost... When gas was 2..or something many plants switched to gas, now they should switch back to coal and lock in a lower average cost before coal goes up again...

High energy prices will force introduction of carbon capturing - governments will subsidise this and the technology should become commercial .. Go coal go!!!

Just some early morning ramblings as I can't sleep!!!

Look on the HC coal forum - some good research/comments
