As this is not a general discussion thread I will keep this short and simple. I believe in a "regulated" free market economic system. Regulated because unregulated markets fail and we all pay as we all saw recently Lax regulations also lead to monopolies which kill the innovation and efficiencies that we expect a free market system to provide (think mircosoft). Lastly 10% of a countries yearly GDP is not a high level of debt, could you afford to loan 10% of your yearly income comfortably. (Biggest uniformed political scare mongering this country has ever endured). I sit in the centre unfortunately the neo-cons have move the whole political spectrum to the fair way right ,so even those old fashion conservatives are now accused of being socialist.
