What are the Japanese companies supposed to do with the excess LNG they've commited to buy, but their customers don't want to use?
Just leave it in the tankers & park them up at the Japanese docks for years?
The blame for the gas shortage is on the State governments for not insisting on a local reservation policy like WA.
Oh & the LNG isn't given to Japanese, it's sold at market rates.
