"It is on-selling the gas to developing nations in SE Asia, despite communities across the region calling for climate finance to support their shift to renewables"

    Nargh.

What communities in developing economies call for is affordable and reliable energy, to fuel economic development which increases standards of living.

Who cares where developing countries source the energy form they believe to be most affordable and reliable?

If renewables were affordable and reliable, demand for gas in SE Asia would not be increasing.
Nor demand for coal, for that matter.

But demonstrably, demand for gas (and coal) does exist across SE Asia.
In massive and increasing quantities, to boot.

Why would you seek to deny communities in developing countries in SE Asia access to affordable and reliable energy?
