MAKASSAR, RAKYATSULSEL - The Regional Regulation Formation Agency (Bapemperda) of the South Sulawesi DPRD will immediately discuss the submission of the Draft Regional Regulation (Ranperda) regarding the Establishment of a Regional Company PT. South Sulawesi Mainstay of Energy (Participating Interest 10 percent of Wajo Natural Gas).

"This Ranperda has actually been included in the 2020 and 2021 Propemperda but no discussion is carried out because it has not received an assessment from the Minister, in accordance with the provisions of Article 10 of Government Regulation Number 54 of 2017 concerning BUMD," said Chairman of the Bapemperda of the South Sulawesi DPRD , Rudy Pieter Goni.

He said that this Ranperda must be studied carefully because the participating interest can provide benefits related to income in South Sulawesi.

"In principle , Bapemperda supports the efforts of the South Sulawesi Provincial Government in maximizing regional income through the 10% Participating Interest mechanism for Wajo Natural Gas," he explained. (Fahrul/Raksul/A)
