There is heaps of gas up around Lismore in NSW, a company called Metagasco spent $100 Million discovering that resource and then this current nsw government terminated their licence because a few "lock the gaters" were protesting about the imminent extraction of this gas, and the nsw gov were worried about losing the seat at the next election, so they cancelled metagascos lease.
It was known as the Bentley gas project, look it up.
Absolutely disgraceful how it was handled.
So this current nsw government has helped cause the gas shortage it is now trying to rectify. I don't know why the media hasn't jumped on this. Asleep at the wheel as usual.
