    H,

    Good summary

Im glad there was no audio to listen to

    MARN is his nickname

He alluded very strongly to a East Coast DOMGAS Reservation to prevent all the gas going out as LNG

"Another priority is working out how, with the LNG projects in Queensland, we make sure we've got sufficient domestic gas on the east coast of Australia, because we're going to need it."

The gas powergen and water use :-

"An example of that is Australia's newest combined-cycle gas-fired power station built by Origin in Queensland, which requires about 3 per cent of the water used by a conventional coal-fired power station."

Superficially correct but if the fuel is CSG then large amounts of water have had to be produced to get the gas and this fossil water is added into the active water cycle.

Carbon price - he was obviously pushing the Govt line.
They never let the facts like China burning vast amounts of (our) coal get in the way of the party ideology.

I agree that he is a good performer and is not afraid to speak plainly. Better "Marn" to look after our Gas Future than one of the others

    Cheers
