Gee I wish we could see the thumbs down tally....lol

After millions of years trapped 3 kilometres underground below cap rock and seals how is it possible for gas to permeate through 3,000m of rock to aquifers only 50-100m underground in a matter of weeks after fracture stimulation through a pipe 200mm in diameter and cased in steel all the way to the surface?

ps - I already know the answer. The question is largely based on a phenomena known as logic - funny thing was I turned on my research tap and all this logic spurted out. Bit like the "gas" in that show you talk about!
