Up to 60 youths have gatecrashed a Perth wedding and thrown bricks at the venue, injuring guests.
Police were called to the Point Walter Cafe in Bicton, in Perth's south, at about 9pm (WST) on Saturday after reports of youths fighting with wedding guests.
The incident began with a small number of youths asking one of the wedding guests for a cigarette, police said.
They later returned and again demanded a cigarette from the guest, but were denied.
A fight began and other guests from the wedding came outside to assist the man but were outnumbered when more youths arrived. The youths tried to force their way into the premises and threw bricks at the venue, some striking guests who suffered injuries.
But the offenders fled before police arrived.
Four men and three women, all aged in their 20s and 30s, suffered injuries and some were taken to Fremantle Hospital for treatment. The group are described as being mostly dark-skinned males, aged between 16 and 22.
Police will review CCTV footage of the incident.

    Scary stuff
This is a cafe close to where I live.
What a shocking memory for the bride and groom.
What is the answer to this sort of anti social behaviour ?
What of the poor business owner, this will surely hurt trade.
How do we stop this ?
