With so much held by so few another legacy of the clan who ran this Business so poorly that every small investor bailed- coupled with 10 years of nothing in return except a crushed SP a buy back and a Grace debacle.
Spilt milk??? No - not really no consequences paid for a mid tier O&G explorer drilling a hole at 100% for a hundred million $$$ 100%. At the time the mouth pieces were towing the party line ' we were contractually bound and we didn't want to be seen in the eyes of the 'Industry' as reneging on a contract that would see us frowned upon if another drilling contract came up?? That was the best we could offer.... Mid tier and 100% 100 million $ hole and no-one was held to account.
Out of that we got the big boys saying we need Independent Directors. Their decision who interviewed them who employed them??
I didnt christen him Max ' Patsy' Klinger for nothing. Again the buy back what a f'ing joke and was from day 1 again to give shareholders greater exposure to pending drilling campaign that was held in 2014??? And the buy back is still going .... No explanation for the ongoing wasteage.... And what the buy back because the real dictators of decisions IMO are Wellington they didn't want a return to holders IMO so they are lame ducks anyway
They have had their time and a lot more than they deserved on top of that!!!!
SP is only true reflection of Co.... When the big boys control you they control your SP they lend they short etc.... As I said the other day we were buying when Wellington were re balancing ( selling)... We have the SP and the share registry we deserve. Is that Oils fault as well that every man and his dog got out of this share?? Drilling Cowboys ring a bell???
20 entities hold 70% - as little as 700k of shares in a once top 200 stock is held with 700k.
It's the Oil business you can't hack it SELL- hear at all the time- same goes if you can't creste wealth /dividend shareholder growth hand over the reigns and give someone else a go.
As I said the other night if you blokes get it and give some cash out and we get back to $2.50 I cold to give a rats- it would be over. I just see 5 years of nothing more than wages travel wages 'confidential deals pending' and hope Oil improves. We aren't drilling as I said they day they announced the 'drilling last1/4 it wouldn't happen how could it you drill spend more and find something worthless today.... Surely that tells what's ahead - nothing for another year +
So they sell a % of Echdna that they correctly bought 35% back for FA - buy some assets from Petrobras and get some cash in from the deal with a JV across the lot..... Great we do more buy backs with the cash???? I didnt trust them when we got the cash at start and said it - we are now 2/3 worse off SP ( yes all Oils fault) so we get more cash in we wait 2 more years and what is in return for holders for what would be 12 years ... Just get it over with and get them out!
So we go to the AGM only time they open their traps because everything is so 'confidential with deals' we know we know.... So we will get wages compared to other peers- we will get what % since listing we have grown by... Might have to take a few % off from your reading cards of a year or so ago at the AGM
There are only 120 holders with over 100,000 shares- you are asking for us to put our hands up - I reckon a fair question is how many of the 100k plus have put thief hands up to date?

The possibility of POO staying below $50 is quite high in short and middle term based on current persistence headwind - oversupply, ineffective OPEC, US shale, evolution of EV and renewable and thus reducing demand , amid in very gradual fashion..
The management should seek other opportunity elsewhere, lumping all the bets on Brazil is pure silly and naive and got no business sense whatsoever, a $ 1 acquisition is a dollar too much.
Where the company is heading (unless some one got a crystal ball) the losers will be the major and minor shareholders, the Hoskings will be OK, possibly collect another $10 m or more in the next 5 years.
Couldn't work it out why the majors are silent for this long.
