On the point above, it is a good question because like I've said before I would prefer children to know both aspects of human gender where possible. However I don't think children have the rights on how they are born, the mere idea seems crazy to me, particularly when you consider the lottery you go through in order to just be conceived. On the removal of the natural parent, no one makes someone become a parent. People can choose how they use their bodies how they see fit, and if someone wants to be a surrogate for a gay male couple or provide sperm to a lesbian couple that's their right to do so. What about if a single heterosexual woman becomes pregnant? Should she not have the right to bear a child, particularly if the donor is consenting but doesn't want to have a relationship with the child. Let's also take this further and investigate second marriages, regardless of wether or not the couple are still in heterosexual relationships, there is a completely different dynamic involved where the natural parents are joined by others completely unrelated (you'd hope so).

That's a large part of why I firmly believe that children are a very minor component of the SSM debate. Because the landscape is further advanced now, without SSM.

You either do or you don't. If you prefer children to know both genders then SSM and gay adoption is out. If you recognize differences in men and women, you can't regard homosexuals as the same as heterosexuals.

You have shown complete disregard for the child. Does a child have any rights? What you are advocating is human-trafficking and slavery (the purchase of a human for money). The knowledge of where we come from (not just a name or a picture, but a relationship) matters to all people.
