So when gays make a life long commitment to each other, it can't be called marriage.
So if they vote, should we have a different name for their vote - a "gote" perhaps.
Given the adolescent use of the word "gay" to mean lame, rubbish etc (is this a global phenomenon anyone?), gays may decide to hijack another word and call themselves "surfers" instead.
Seriously, I can't believe anyone has an issue with this. And I'm a middle aged, white heterosexual male.
