Take a look at the escalating numbers of homeless in the UK, Europe and USA. The numbers are probably increasing in Australia and other relatively developed nations as well. There are determined government sanctioned cuts to welfare all over the West, lead by Britain and the IMF.

Meanwhile the world's wealthiest have been thriving. Something like a 20% increase in the billionaire class post-GFC. Easy when you don't pay tax and only employ people in slave factories in Third World conditions or better still use robots instead of human beings. MacDonald's has just built its first robot 'staffed' takeaway food outlet in America. Clearly they are so tight they find staff rates of pay around USD$6 - 7 per hour cuts into their profits. Well the laugh will be on them when the people of the country no longer have a dime to spend.
