Sorry to have to break it to you but Britain left the general ownership of Australia to Australians approx 118 years ago ..................... since then it's been more or less Australia for Australians.
You can argue as many peculiar aspects of the arrival and departure of the Brits but as far as it stands Australia did briefly belong to Australians until the last bunch of treasonous politicians let us be sold out to "Foreign Interests".

Funny how the only written language that recorded the history of Australia has come from the Evil Northern Hemisphere.
