GBM Resources, a local explorer in the copper/gold space, has been reporting some encouraging results.
Just this week some early drilling from the Milo prospect in its Brightlands tenement turned up evidence of a significant polymetallic iron oxide copper gold system.

We need to wait for the results of diamond drilling next month but the presence of significant copper intersections along with cobalt, molybdenum,uranium and gold is a positive indicator.

GBM is also exploring for some other large copper targets in the Mt Isa region with venture partner Pan Pacific Copper and has its foot on the central Victorian gold province of Malmsbury.

If GBM's theory is right and the productive Drummond North goldfield and Belltopper Hill mines are part of a single gold system, the inferred resource of 104,000 ounces
could prove conservative.

Only more drilling will tell but it is about time a Victorian gold project had some luck and I rate GBM a speculative buy on the back of the Queensland copper story alone.
