Thanks for responding seuss. I think my paperwork is up-to-date but I'm currently in the UK and the paperwork is back in Oz. Thought I'd share with you the response I got from Commsec when I questioned them recently...

"In response with your query, all corporate actions including takeovers are handled by share registry for the particular stocks. As such we are waiting on the share registries to notify us once the corporate action is completed. As soon as we receive notifications, your CHESS holdings will be updated on your CommSec account. If you did want to sell your shares in the meantime, then we will sell them for you on good faith and work out the administrations in the background. If you simply are waiting on your CHESS holdings to be updated to track your portfolio, then unfotunately we are at the mercy of the internal processes of the share registries."

I think I'll take up your advice and move on.
