POSITIVE NEWS - especially considering that both parties will have the relevant insurances to cover such events. The way I see it is a definate upside for GDN.
Plus it was inevitable seeing as they went to such lengths to recover the casing hanger to provide the hard evidence.
Just dont expect to see any monies exchangehands for some time to come unless they settle out of court which I would expect to occur and they all move on to more wells.
It would be great news to recover $7Mill and have this back in the kitty for the next well/s.
