Shorts are too low to impact anything IMO
I think they (orders left unfilled) are literally the ones expecting bigger selling due to GDXJ rebalancing, perhaps some shorts in that pack, likely people on high leverage if they were having to pick the timing to that degree.
That would mean on a leveraged up basis it may have only been a few $m worth of actual capital to be assigned to NST, not the kind we want as holders either as they would be the paper hands that scatter at the first shake of the tree.
