I'd gotten worried when Origin chose not to excercise their rights in the last capital raising. Clearly they have come across some information since then that leads them to believe GDY are on the right track.

I would wager that the team at Origin fully understand the Lightning Rig's capacity, fully understand the geological targets, fully understand the science, and have a firm grasp of the general project economics. If I were not in so deep, I would buy more options today, but have opted for the FPOs instead.

This announcement has great value as an indicator of the probability of success.

It's not easy street yet, and further drilling delays are very likely (so I'm only partially exhaling HP), but this does send new signals to the wider market.

It will be great to see GDY as more than just a scientific curiosity, and actually gain the returns the business model promises.
